Application Themes

FormulaBoost offers the following application wide themes. Themeing applies to all user-interface (UI) components and ribbon icons.

  • Match Excel
  • Light
  • Dark

The Match Excel option will choose between the light and dark themes depending upon the current native Excel theme. When this option is selected, if the native Excel theme is changed, Excel must be reopened for the new FormulaBoost theme to take effect.

Many users prefer to use the Excel in its native light theme together with the FormulaBoost dark theme. In this case, the Ribbon icons remain in their light color version and all FormulaBoost UI components appear in their dark theme.

To change the theme, press the Change Theme button in the ribbon then select the theme from the dropdown. This selection is saved to the user settings.
